The Beach!
The sun-bronzed beach sand works for sunbathing and sand castle making alike. Though its world renowned waves are a surfers paradise, they’re still calm enough that families and novice beachgoers are able to enjoy a swim or their first surf lesson.
The city’s website has a map with the various beach access points and parks (44 in total) as well as helpful tips for making sure your trip to the beach is enjoyable and safe. When bringing the dog, be sure to stick to the dog-friendly areas listed.

Brevard Zoo
Of course we love the animals, but this zoo offers some unique experiences: giraffe and rhino encounters; kayaking tours; a train; paws on water area for young kids; an aquarium and zipline adventures making this zoo popular for toddlers, big kids and kids at heart (aka adults).
Buy your tickets online to save $ per ticket (and ensure admission) and be sure to check the reciprocal zoo & aquarium discounts if you have a membership in your hometown.

Cocoa Beach Pier
The atmosphere and vibe overlooking the beach and ocean. You’ll likely see cruise ships in the distance and the launch pad.
Grab a drink, appetizer or dessert but don’t choose this as a full meal. The food there is okay(ish) but we tend to opt for other places around town.
