If you’re straddling the first two months of 2020 on your trip, you will have a chance to check out the Antiques & Garden Show Nashville at The Music CIty Center being held from 1/31-2/2. This international trade exhibition for the art & craft industries is the perfect place for collectors, gardeners and people just looking for some home & design inspiration. The exhibitors include some incredible varieties of fine jewelry makers, antique sellers, garden designers and fine artists; So plan on finding something that fits your fancy, we know we are!
If you are a chocolate lover you will definitely want to grab a ticket to Lightning 100’s ‘Chocolate Affair’ on February 8th. This *sweet* event is being held at The Parthenon and will be featuring some of Nashville’s best chocolatiers, bakers and candy makers. This decadent event is benefitting the non profit, MusiCares which directly focuses on the health and welfare of the music community in times of need. Did we mention that there will be a jazz quartet? Go enjoy some music, soulful vibes and chocolate this February!
You can’t talk about February without talking about the lovely holiday called, Valentines Day. Nashville is FILLED with wonderful restaurants that know how to celebrate this day the right way! If you’re looking to impress, you might want to reserve a table at STK steakhouse or Kayne Prime, if you want dinner with a view check out Ellingtons Mid Way Bar & Grill or L27 Rooftop lounge. If you’d rather have dinner over some mood lighting and light jazz tones we recommend Sambuca or House of Cards (a speakeasy style restaurant featuring velvet curtains and candlelight). After a night filled with romance, steak and an entire bottle of wine for Valentines Day, you and your partner might want to check out Nashville’s 7th annual Yoga Festival on February 15th! This event at Rocketown helps benefit ‘Small World Yoga’ inspiring connection, growth and access to yoga throughout Middle Tennessee! Bring your yoga mat and be ready to make friends – All ages and abilities welcome.
End your February in style at the Cashville Blues Festival at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium on 2/29! This groovy event features the musical stylings of Sir Charles Jones, Pokey Bear, Bobby Rush, Chic Rodgers, Shirley Brown, and Latimore to name a few.
