Local & Trendy Drinking Holes

1- Old Glory: A “Speak Easy” style bar that you won’t want to miss out on. It’s hidden in the heart of Edgehill, behind Taco Mamacita (See Foodies Welcome). This place has no welcome sign, in fact – most people miss it entirely. You just walk in the door and down a glam spiral staircase into the 1920’s. If you are into Craft Cocktails and good mood lighting, this is your place.

2 – Rosemary & Beauty Queen: This bar is for people who don’t like being at bars. This cocktail/beer joint is set up in a classic East Nashville home, yes, you heard me correctly. Every night you spend at Rosemary is like a night spent at your best friend Rebecca’s house, who has coincidentally hired on the top bartenders in town to host 50 of your closest, funniest friends. It will easily become your favorite Nashville “Kinda-Bar”.

3 – JJ’s Wine Bar: Situated on Main Street in Downtown Franklin, this is the solve for those (like me) who get major indecision when looking at a wine menu. They have 28 wines on “tap” where you can try just a sip or get a full pour. Pair those wine tastings with a charcuterie tray and this is every gals dream.

4- Arrington Vineyards:  Make a day with the gals by taking a trip out to the Vineyards. Make a day or evening of this and bring  your own food setup (or purchase from a limited selection of food there). Since its owned by country music legend Kix Brooks it’s no surprise that you’ll also find they often have live music – be sure to check their calendar of events for what’s happening and to see who is playing. Regardless of when you go, we suggest doing the wine tasting so you can sample a variety of their wines. Among our favorites are: Sparkle Blanc, Antebellum Red and Stag’s White.

5- Leiper’s Fork Distillery: Even though this distillery is new(ish) to the scene, we suggest starting with a tour to learn how their got their start and of course, how they make their whiskey. Afterwards, sit on their porch or on the patio and enjoy a cocktail (or two+). I’ll be honest, I am not usually much of a whiskey person but the way they concoct their drinks, I am a HUGE fan of their whiskey cocktails. They also have a cute little gift shop to walk around before you leave.

Your Must-Shop List

1 – Vinnie Louise: You’ll never leave this hip clothing boutique empty-handed.  With locations in 12South, East Nashville & Franklin, you’ll always find one-of-a-kind, affordable items that will keep you feeling stylish during your stay and once you head home.

2 – Shoppes of Fatherland Street: We always love a stroll through this area in East Nashville because it’s filled with “micro-shops.” Many of our favorite places got their start in this area (here’s looking at you, High Garden Tea) and many have remained. Gift Horse is a favorite for not only they’re amazingly kind store owner but their eclectic round up of gifts. Abode Mercantile and their attached sister store, Baxter Bailey & Co are a two for one stop: Abode offers home decor and local gifts while Baxter Bailey has anything you could desire for your furry friends- even baked goods. Be sure to take a stroll down all of the side areas as well, though as new shops are popping up all of the time!

3 – Leiper’s Fork Village: This quaint area has a mix of antique & vintage, clothing and art galleries. Serenite Maison (mostly items for the home) and the Pick-It Fence (mix of items for the home and unique gifts) are two of our must stops BUT be sure to walk the whole little strip in the village- I promise it won’t take too long. 🙂

Foodie’s Welcome

1- Merridee’s Bread Basket: Located in Downtown Franklin, I love this spot for a gals lunch. The building and atmosphere alone are great but you had homemade baked items to the mix and it’s a double win. I love their sampler plate (chicken salad, egg salad and tuna salad) with a side of their zesty tomato dressing. If you really want to splurge, grab one of their pastries or slices of pie that vary with the season.

2- Taco Mamacita: This modern mexican fusion restaurant will have you putting it on your Nashville favorites list. Taco Mama is home to the Unofficial Official best margaritas in Nashville, and on Wednesday’s they give you two for the price of one! This is the perfect place to go for dinner before you hit up Old Glory (See Trendy Drinking Holes) for that after hours sip.

3- Urban Grub: This is a great place especially with a larger group of your favorite women- but don’t worry, you can still go if there are just a few of you, too. They have a more modern take on Southern style food PLUS a great seafood selection (it’s one of the only places I’ll do seafood in Nashville). The menu has a variety of food options at a variety of price points making it nice when trying to please the whole group, too. Top picks: start with the raw oysters and a charcuterie tray to share; opt for the shrimp and grits, the  pork chop or a cut of your favorite meat as your entree with a side of mashed potatoes and add lobster; and you MUST end it with the Peanut Butter Cheesecake (that is definitely shareable). Bonus points: they have an extensive wine menu and make great pairing suggestions. Double bonus: their service is incredible.

4- Lockeland Table: A quaint spot in East Nashville, this is a great spot to dine indoors or out with your girlfriends. Personally, I like to order several items on the menu and share them tapas style. If you go early (arrive before 6pm) you can even partake in their community hour which features an amazing queso that’s only offered at that time. Then, have a few drinks and move along to dinner. Top picks for ordering tapas style: wedge salad, smoked bone marrow, empanadas, margherita pizza & pizza of the night followed by caramel pound cake and/ or bread pudding!

Relaxation Station

1 – The Spa at Leiper’s Fork:  This adorable day spa in the heart of Leiper’s Fork Village offers charm and relaxation. I am always a sucker for a massage and facial combo with any visit to the spa which is my service recommendation for when visiting here.

2 – Float Nashville: While Float isn’t the normal facial, massage and mud-mask kind of spa – it’s still one of the most relaxing places to visit in Nashville. If you aren’t sure about this 90 minute sensory deprived float tank, we urge you to step out of your comfort zone. Your muscles and mind will thank you.

3 – Woodhouse Spa: Have you ever been curious about Therapeutic Stone Massage? Your stress will literally melt away the moment you walk into this lush spa located right in the middle of the city. We recommend a glass of rosé to go with your Agave Nectar Pedi. Cheers!

Of course, if you need a place to stay for your getaway with the girls, we have spaces that sleep anywhere from 2- 12 guests! Check out our homes here.
